“I am a visual storyteller and welcome you to my world of visual narratives,” says artist Aparna Banerjee, whose art is a seamless fusion of emotion, imagination, and expression.

Born into a culturally rich Bengali family that fostered artistic and intellectual pursuits, Aparna discovered her passion for art early in life. She believes that “one can create anything once you see it in your mind,” and paints with boldness, conviction, and boundless creativity.

Her process is deeply intuitive — “An idea sits inside me for a while, and then emerges — that’s when it forms on canvas or paper.” Each of her artworks reflects this inner dialogue, expressed through abstract compositions, vibrant colors, and dynamic textures.

An award-winning artist, Aparna was recognized for her exemplary work by the UNESCO Club in Greece at the Athena Art Fair. Her art has been showcased at prestigious international platforms such as the New York Art Expo, Maldives Art Summit, exhibitions in China, Switzerland, and the National Gallery of Modern Art in Russia (Moscow, Yekaterinburg, and St. Petersburg). She has participated in over 74 national and international exhibitions, proudly representing India across the globe.

Specializing in abstract art, her work often centers on the concept of 'Woman', reflecting strength, emotion, and resilience. Aparna describes art as her “necessary and healthy escape” since her schooldays, evolving into a lifelong journey of exploration and expression.

Celebrated as a superb colourist, Aparna harmonizes contrasting hues with daring confidence. Using brushstrokes, palette knives, and various textural tools, she crafts compositions that resonate with visual energy and emotional depth. As noted by an international art critic, “There is perfect harmony and balance in her works.”
